Handmade Traditional English Butcher's Block
Here is one of our many butchers blocks that we have made over the years, which along with the tables and stools we absolutely love making. We tend to try and work with reclaimed timer for our furniture and we mainly do for our stools and butchers blocks but decent old wood for tables is getting really tough to find. For our tables we use new grade 'A' timber and then aged it down to give it an authentic, restored feel.
For over 30 years we have experimented and perfected the ability to age the wood down to make it look like a restored original and this is something we really love doing.
The word passion is often overused by companies but in our case it really is the perfect word to use on how we feel about making our furniture. It is a creative and absorbing process and we are lucky as we don't really see it as a job, it is just something we love doing, and really is a 'passion'....
